Shag

Shags are large seabirds, about 30 inches (76cm) tall and are present on the UK coast all year. There are estimated to be about 40,000 pairs although counting is difficult because of their inaccessible nesting sites, including cliffs and sea caves. They are vigorous defenders of their nests and young and will refuse to leave during any perceived attack. Most enemies get driven off.
